I am a married mom, a midwife, a marathoner (mostly halfs), and a mystic. I barf up the contemplations I have in each of these identities and their expressions.
When I started blogging more than 20 years ago, I didn’t have followers other than friends and family, and I don’t plan on ever having a large audience. In the early days, the stories were mostly about my kids: Owl, Eeyore, Rabbit, and Tigger. In the midst of the stories, I also added Roo and Pooh to the family. I lost the blog when we moved to Colorado in 2015. The free domain I had used was cut off, and sadly, I didn’t get around to backing the data up before it was gone.
This scant upstart came when I was researching a project for midwife school and decided to buy spindaisy.com again. Cause I could. My life, in the meantime, has been an interesting mess of moving to Rhode Island and back to Colorado. Those would have been great stories to add here. I didn’t.
When I am not sleeping at night, or out on a long run I do often imagine the content I’d love to add here. I’m committed to not giving up on it. Maybe eventually I will be committed to actually adding the stuff.
Today, only Roo and Pooh are in the house. Eeyore and Rabbit have their own babies now. I practice obstetrics and gynecology at a Federally Qualified Health Center and deliver babies at the local hospital. I also run every day. Since November of 2016, I have run at least a mile every single day. Now I also set a goal to run a half marathon in every U.S. state before I turn 60. Why oh why didn’t I set this goal while I lived in Rhode Island? During my time there, I completed three half marathons and one full marathon, all in the state of Rhode Island, even though Massachusetts was just down the road!
